There's one more fatty before the blob to surpass all blobs rolls in on Halloween.

Just lots of practice. Though, you might find yourself in a sort of steep learning curve before you find your personal style. It depends on how fantastical/realistic you like your fatties, but it's all still a balancing act.

I get the occasional spark of inspiration but if I had the time and motivation to actually do them again, I would. They were fun to do.
