One thing that I think is very notable from the Tomino Memo with respect to GQuuuuuuX, is a fragment called "Challia Bull's Letter," where Challia describes a vision of humanity's future. I'm very curious if this will make it into the series in some form.
∗ Humanity is entering a time of change as a species Among Director Tomino's memos, we can find the following from October 30, 1978, before the start of broadcast, describing the metamorphosis into Newtypes. This isn't expressed in words, and it doesn't need to be, but it clearly shows the meaning contained in this last scene. "Last Message (Challia Bull's Letter) Humanity is savage. We can't survive unless something is done. With empty hearts, we are too impoverished to watch over the universe or the world. Humanity still requires the game called war. Wisdom and reason are born from this chaos. Humanity is now in an era where wisdom and reason themselves are forged. We could be called pre-humanity. But right now, our spirits are spread thin. Teachings cannot be passed down to humanity as in previous eras. The era of instruction is over. Now humanity must raise itself up with its own strength. The radiance of the Sun must grow until it swallows the whole galaxy. The universe has a new spirit as its motif. There is no more time. We have less than 30 billion years left..."
