My heart is is heavy watching the news of the fires in my birth state, watching them spread across the cities I grew up in and periodically checking Facebook to see who has checked in and is safe.
I remember ash raining into the front yard more than once but none of them on this scale so quickly.

2024 has been a year with a lot of surprises. A lot of work, a lot of reading, some #stitching, some YouTube videos, but struggled to find a good groove with #writing fiction. May the muses smile next year.
