No one remembers the second part of Trump's "deal" tactics. He will claim that Europe is not fulfilling its part of the agreement and use that to justify breaking the deal whenever he wants. He did this as a real estate developer, and he's doing it now with Canada and Mexico.

It's pedantic, but most (by tonnage) cargo ships are registered under flags of convenience (Liberia, Panama...). They will either need detailed information about the ships' cargo and destinations or they will have to attack them indiscriminately. The basic point still holds, though: consequences.

If Federal Agents throw Democratic representatives to the ground, beat them, roughhouse them, handcuff them, and detain them, all in broad daylight with the cameras rolling... What restraint will they feel when no one is watching?
