NAL, The only way to bypass qualified immunity is to prove that a LEO violated your constitutional rights or in cases of extreme misconduct (sexual assault, theft). Now a key point here is that the public can only bring civil lawsuits, while the Gov't is responsible for criminal cases

I went from the Young Republicans debating in favor of the Iraq war in 08 to standing on the 101 during the ICE protests. I also know people who were on that journey with me who were discouraged by the friction in leftist activist orgs. I wont defend platner just like I wont defend my former self
