This kind of cold can kill you pretty quickly. We have been enjoying the warm fireplace during this cold, editing old photos!
This is not the coldest we have seen here, but it is a bone chilling cold.

-30°F, feels like -53°F for my American friends.

How did your 2024 go?! My biggest news from 2024 is I got engaged!

Was shooting the MW last night for the first time this year. Had a weak aurora display as we were packing up too. Seeing was not great as well, so this is not my best work.

In 2020 I moved to Alberta and continued to photograph Aurora in the mountains! I even got lucky with Comet Neowise.
I created the Manitoba Aurora community in 2020 as well! Then ultimately moved back to Manitoba at the end of 2020.

I continued to take photos but the #aurora bug bit me on August 4, 2019. This Coronal Hole brought a G1 show during solar minimum. The colors blew me away and I vowed to never miss a show! That fall we got a few more shows.

I began my photography journey by taking these photos in 2017! My dad and I headed to Northern Manitoba to fish. I wanted to photograph the Aurora after seeing them the year before. This was my first attempt at Aurora shots on a Canon Powershot!
