Correct! It's neutral, and many nb people do consider their gender to be neutral. Some however experience non-neutral distinct third gender, in a way that is not female or male but not "neutral", which implies a sort of midpoint of the triangle of no gender, male, and female. Hope this helps :)

There are actually! Theyre not commonly used since i/we are not gendered terms and have nothing to do with the gendered nature of third person english pronouns, so therefore theyre typically a non-issue for most in regards to how one refers to themself. Feel free to dm if you have further questions!

—person who uses neopronouns is gonna be some form of nonbinary, but at the end of the day ppl can do whatever they want forever so theres not really a rule that says a fully binary trans or cis person isnt allowed to use neos yk

The short answer is, usually yes but not always! The long answer is that pronouns dont necessarily equal gender, and much like how drag queens (many of which do identify as binary cis men) may be totally fine with being referred to as she/her, even out of drag/off stage. 9 times out of 10, yes a—

—box of all nb people using they/them but dont feel like she, he, or it fit either, neopronouns exist for that purpose, of someone being referred to in a way that feels right. I hope this made sense im not the best at explanations but questions are welcome!

Not the best at explanations but basically, the normative pronouns we see today (he, she, they, it) linguistically evolved at some point and were not always used, because of course language is a construct and is always evolving, especially with regards to queer people and the words used to—
