I think the assisted dying bill is the right step towards dignity and freedom of choice. I have seen the argument against being that end of life care is so poor and it's giving the wrong message, but both issues can be tackled so everyone has their own choice with support and dignity

Not even American, but the same could happen here, people read headlines and believe what they're told. Ignorance is not a defence.
