Wow! I found Arrow “Gordon” flap-pocket button-down Oxford shirts from 1914 and 1916— before J.Press.

I have found a historically significant advertisement in the history of the button-down collar.

I visited an exhibition focusing on Le Corbusier's late-life paintings.

Unlike his architecture, they are quite complex, but the presentation was very easy to understand.

What do you feel about it?

Today , I went to a Leo Lionni exhibition.
I love his iconic picture book Swimmy, but I’m always deeply drawn to the advertising designs he created.

I wish I could create designs like his.

I like the painter Andrew Wyeth.
His paintings retain the old, pure America.
I want to create simple, American-like shirts like his paintings.

I came to Nagoya for research, and it’s truly wonderful here. It’s not widely known that Toyota’s origins are actually in the loom-making business.

What is the king of shirts?

I think Charvet, Frye and Turnbull & Asser

The popularity of suits, dresses, and other European-style attire in Japan began after the Meiji era, but of course, there was beauty before that as well. I often feel that we should study more about what true cultural Japanese uniqueness really is.

Yesterday, I bought a Charvet shirt for the first time in a long while. It’s a precious treasure for me. I plan to continue wearing good shirts slowly and mindfully from now on.

I went to the Monet exhibition, and it made me wonder about the Impressionist era. What did they feel when they saw colors? Wouldn’t it be amazing if beautiful shirts could be born from their palette?
