In a country whose biggest problems stem from increased economic isolation in the wake of Brexit, isn't the end result of these policies just to isolate the UK even more?

I actually sorta buy the argument that he keeps making these claims because he doesn't really understand what the word "asylum" means in this context.

Yeah, but that won't stop them from buying up even more of the economy when the market eventually recovers.

The US is obviously done financially supporting Ukraine, but it will be interesting to see if Trump still allows American weapons manufacturers to continue to sell equipment and munitions to the Ukrainians.

Trump can't end the war. Europeans will rally around Ukraine. The war keeps going until one side runs out of soldiers or ammunition.
