I love how theres never enough money for social infrastructure and services people rely on, but theres somehow enough money for weapons spending and cutting capital gains taxes

If you want to keep violent/repeat offenders of the street, you need more judges not more cops

Everyone communicates differently and has different boundaries, opinions and tolerance for disagreement, but I have to say I dont like the notion that its normal to fight all the time w your partner

Idk, my wife and I have had exceptionally few arguments. In 5 yrs living together I can only recall 1 significant argument

We see eye to eye on most things and rarely have any friction at all finding good compromises.

We dont vote for the PM, we vote for our MP

Again thats not how it works... Even if Carney or Poilievre are PMO and Singh lost his seat, we still could have had plenty more NDP MPs etc so that more progressive policies could be pushed through.

Reminder that we have a parliamentary system and vote by riding and the options weren't just Liberals or Conservatives with basically free reign to do whatever they want - we could have had more Green, NDP and independent MPs elected to keep PM in check.

@mark-carney.bsky.social O&G is not our future. Stop lining the pockets of O&G companies at the expense of our health, environment, and long term economic resilience.

As tradespeople, we have transferable skills.

We can do the exact same work we do on pipelines and O&G facilities at hydro dams, nuclear plants, on windmills and at solar farms.

Give me some work where I don't have to compromise my ethics to make a living.

Yeah, the hyperfixation on e-scooters is really disappointing. There are valid safety concerns for pedestrians, and there should probably be some regulation on the modified escooters that go like 70km/h (whether on users or vendors)... but aas always, the biggest safety risk is cars/trucks.
