Like real cats, nekos play with their food to tire it out completely. Their super sensitive throats mean eating something that wiggles even a lil bit can be pretty annoying! That being said, they still eat their prey live - it’s rare neko’s kill tinies, eating em doesn’t count!

...but her powers making it absolute.

At your size, she'd press you down, overpowering you with her soft but forceful toes, only for a change of pace. And even if you manage to escape her reach, she can always put up a force field and extinguish all remaining hope.

Chibig tends to make games inspired by ghibli and this is Arietty so I think the chances are high. The cat is specifically mentioned to be the Witch’s cat so… maybe the big boots are for a big witch?
