Ah. True. I think they did a good job in some parts, so I'm not sure why there were some random issues with the broadcast. I wonder if maybe the wind contributed to them not being able to capture the sound well for the marching bands.

I also liked the brief moment in which the camera was accidentally pointed at nothing (some random part of the side of the news tent).

It doesn't sound cheesey. All the performances were nice. I liked the Bolivian dancers too. 😊

It was pretty funny every time it happened, and to me, that was great. 😂

Sad it's not in any of the AMCs near me. 😭 I remember I watched the very first Knives Out at an AMC for my birthday. Anyway, I'm hoping I'll catch it even if I have to drive for an hour or two. 🤞

I remember i_o. It's too bad you never got to see him, but it's cool his music has been so inspiring to you. I never got to see him either. 🥺

I'm gonna look up Raito. Are there any songs you recommend?

I think this is a good take, but have you seen any of his movies in Spanish? I don't think his dialogue has ever been that poetic. I appreciate his artistry though, and I'm still glad I saw the movie in a movie theater.

Patito Vader: Yo soy tu padre.

Yo: No. Eso no es cierto. Es imposible.

Patito Vader: Busca en tus sentimientos. Tu sabes que es cierto.

Yo: Noooooooo. (Tratando de escapar, pero solo puedo flotar.) Noooooo.

🤣 I rarely buy make up and now I feel like I'm missing out.

Also, I just started following you because I saw you posting some techno.

Sorry for the late reply. I have no suggestions so far. There are definitely people who talk about EDM and you can follow them, but I haven't seen any well known DJs with active accounts. Which DJs are your favorites? Most of the ones I like are still active on twitter, so I follow them there.

Did you ever share this with The Onion? I feel like they would like this story. 😂

🙁 Some Indian movies I like don't plan to release Blu-rays at all so I feel your pain.

That said, the ILL here is too good. I get super obscure books and old movies all the time. 😂

There's one movie on your watchlist I hadn't watched & it sounded fun, so I searched for it. - I feel spoiled. 😂

💯 Streaming services became as bad as cable. 😂

Here in IL, I feel lucky because I've been using the interlibrary loan system even before streaming was a thing. I usually check if my library has what I want. If they don't, I can usually request it through interlibrary loan.

I love libraries.

Happy belated birthday! I hope you had the best of times!

I didn't know you were on Bluesky too. Following you here now. 😊

A thousand times this.

It's always my hope people will stop demonizing poverty.

If you're struggling financially, this doesn't mean you aren't working hard or that you aren't doing your best. It's so much more complicated than that.

My favorite thing they debunked was the idea that the payroll system is antiquated.

Cash advance apps try to trick employees that somehow it's a benefit to get into debt. 😂

If you're an employer, please beware of these apps and what advertising them to employees means. 🥺

That's awesome. Thank you for the information! On an unrelated note, please let everyone involved in the upcoming Ghibli series that they're amazing for including so many Ghibli movies! I'm looking forward to watching Castle in the Sky in my favorite movie theater. 😊
