Hi, im melody! I’m just a small artist suffering through college. recently I’ve fallen in love with ceramics, but I Love other mediums as well and will try to post the work I make often! I also make oc stuff so stay tuned!
Something about November and December brings back my horrifying disease obsession, whether transmissible to humans or not lol. My fixation has recently it’s been focused on the ones that “control our minds.” Prions, EHD, cordyceps, rabies, and Leucochloridium paradoxum. It’s all so interesting.

Something about seeing fossils preserved in action makes me emotional. I know putting them into an artistic context and anthropomorphizing them is not the best thing to do from an academic perspective, but it sure is fun playing with the unknown perspectives of their lives

Already thinking of some sculptures I can make for next semester’s ceramics class! During fat fuck’s crit someone mentioned wanting to see a set incorporating more dinosaurs with half their skeletons exposed, so I’ve been pondering what Dino’s to make to go with him! I’m open to any suggestions!

Also fat fuck, got re-fired for his stencil and i epoxied his tail back on. I couldn’t fit his foot back on but i might just sculpt him a new one

Big bitch 2.0 is out of the kiln! Unfortunately she had her ass tore off along with a couple toes because a kiln tech ripped them off, but epoxy saved her ass literally! she turned out mostly perfect!

Fat fuck has been glazed and is at the brink of completion! 🙏 we had critique today and he was in the top 3 pieces that got done-ish the deadline was nutty but our professor didn’t take points off for minor incomplete aspects (broken pieces and such) next update should have him all patched up!!!

Speaking of projects, does anyone have any writing advice? Just for simple short stories, because I’m more a visual arts person like I can look at anatomy and cross reference with my own work and say yeah it looks wonky. How does one write and not sound like those melodramatic joker memes? 😭 🙏

The journey of fat fucks creation is nearing its end. Friends know him well, but alas he needs a name before he goes into the kiln for the first firing. A proper title that won’t get me kicked from class so I turn it to the good people that come across him. I am open to any suggestions lol
