Ah yes, because more dull press conferences that nobody watches will fix Labour’s comms problem. Fairly sure @samfr.bsky.social (and others who are far more qualified than me to comment) have repeatedly made the point that the government seems to approach their comms strategy as if it’s 2002.

A good read, thank you all. Seeing as your report (along with other think tanks and reputable commentators) effectively states Reeves will have to break (at least) one of her manifesto commitments to deliver a vaguely coherent revenue-raising budget, the glaring question is, do you think she will?

Unfortunately America, even before Trump, didn’t want to tie itself to the authority of an international court because it’s ’inconvenient’ for the US when judgements are made that go against American interests. See the ICC arrest warrant for Netanyahu as a recent example

Alas, America is not a signatory of the ICC and therefore doesn’t recognise the authority of their judgements. I mean they could obviously in theory detain Putin, but there’s two hopes of that happening under Trump
