It’s things like this that will bring down Bluesky. I’m on lists for following JD Vance. I’m just curious what he’ll say, but that’s enough to get me blocked. Do what you want but you limit this site if you judge people by who they follow.
Several notices of people adding me to lists like “JD Follower” and “Couch Cover” and “JDVance Follower -Blocklist.” Blocked by these strangers for no good reason. @lingez and @lukeacl.com and @heinzboskop.

My guess is it had something to do with expansion of voting rights and, when every male citizen was able to vote, mass marketing entered elections, and fewer voters had the kind of education that would inform them of our place in the larger world. 📚 Am I right, oh historians of bluesky?

I recall learning in my youth about the high interest in foreign news in early America. Farmers and merchants all had a keen interest in the rest of the world. When did it change to what has existed all my life, that polls show foreign events play almost no role in American elections? 📚

Thought I'd take the survey today, but there wasn't an option for my choice. How about a message that captures in a sentence WHY this list is so important to Democrats? A message that will resonate strongly with folks who care deeply about any one of these issues. I don't think Hakeem gets it.

Let's not get too excited but check this out. The page that is supposed to report the results of the election that is supposed to be certified tomorrow doesn't have any data in Electoral Count Winner/ Main Opponent row. Compare the 2024 page to the 2020 page.

I can't vouch for the authenticity of this, don't know the source, but it sure is fun to ponder.
Right-wingers literally straight-up admitting "it's harder to discredit the left because the left is almost always telling the truth." um, yes, that's really a problem. The problem with left-leaning media is they're intrinsically more strict with their propaganda to only using verifiable sources so it's really hard to poke holes in their ideology and arguments in comparison to a lot of low quality rightwing content. That makes attacking their points with fact checkers not very effective unless the fact checkers use misinformation tactics as well. In essence people on the right have to work harder and more creatively to push their agendas as statistics and studies frustratingly aren't usually on our side.

I never knew Congress had passed Civil Rights legislation soon after the Civil War ended, 1875. The Supreme Court struck it down in 1883. It took almost 80 years to get Civil Rights legislation passed again, and the Robert’s Supreme Court gutted it in 2013 (although it was also reduced earlier).
