not quite right. And to the extent that the UK uses the US for servicing etc, then that is what should be changed, rather just giving up the capability entirely!

I get that you dont want to rely on the US. 100% agree. But to get rid of our nuclear weapons is mad. I hope that is not what you are suggesting.

Europe’s economy is actually doing well. European stock markets are doing well. Germany has been the economic laggard but is about to unleash, while still being one of the biggest economies in the world. The negative narrative is getting boring.

Assuming the young earn relatively less money, then that’s not correct. Low earners pay low taxes in the UK.

I disagree. The world isn’t as simple as that. They tried not to, but they might have to. They should make the best decision for the country.

Why can’t it just be useful in itself? It’s not all about predicting one month’s NFP, bruv

You’ll never win this argument, because it’s your word against his, and he can make whatever claim he wants.

I watched all of it. Not worth it. The start is the highlight of the series.

Last month’s payrolls looked too high, so a big negative revision was a strong possibility here, and does make sense. Employment data from different sources and indicators is broadly showing the same pattern - a weakening labour market.

A “buy gilts” campaign would be more useful

You are looking at it through the wrong lens. “Nobody has achieved anything”. Maybe it’s the US that hasn’t achieved anything…

Where are these polls?

This back of the line framing is nonsense.

Is it possible instead that foreign companies absorb some (or all) of the tariff cost?

will ultimately lead to his demise. While in Australia and Canada, the left forcefully rejected Trump and the trumpist candidates, the UK's embrace of Trump and it's desperation to find some Brexit "win" legitimized Farage, who would otherwise suffer from his links to Brexit and Trump

Trump was desperate for a deal, every other country took their time, UK jumped in, desperate and sad. Another sign of a declining country, trying to prove to itself that somehow, Brexit was all worth it, because it got to bend over first for Trump
