...Another plus might be that, if you ever want to record what you perform live, Ableton is pretty industry standard. For a one time purchase that lets you record, write, and perform, I *personally* think Ableton is the best. 😊💜

Ableton Live 12's Intro price is 99 USD and has upgrade should you want them later. Some people say Ableton is hard to learn, but I personally feel the interface is pretty simple and minimalistic so recording shouldn't be an issue. Plenty of midi instruments, and free expansion packs too...
