Recycle Your Christmas Tree & Support Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity!

This 4th, 5th & 6th January 2026, volunteers will be collecting Christmas trees across Sussex — helping the environment and helping children with motor learning impairments.

Spreading Christmas cheer in Haywards Heath!
Children from St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and Alegría Spanish Dance visited local care homes dressed as festive elves, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of Christmas spirit to residents. A truly heart-warming way to celebrate the season!

St Peter & St James Hospice's will be collecting real Christmas trees on Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of January 2026. If you would like your tree collected, please visit their website to book and donate. Registration will close on Monday 5th January.

Last weekend, the Mayor of Haywards Heath and members of the Haywards Heath Twinning Association travelled to our twin town Traunstein in Germany. From cultural exchanges to festive celebrations, the weekend was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the towns.
