I agree, I’m constantly looking at films that have flashing like “did that *really* help the plot/ambience of that shot? Or are they just being lazy?”

Not cable but Pluto TV was allowing a lot of new channels at one point. Although this was years ago so I don’t know if it’s changed. Maybe something like that?
