Ironically enough the plane was hijacked because security was pretty lax pre-911. After 911, airport security and procedures ramped up immensely

Lets say they instead chose a slower pace, it could then be done in a way to create sustainable markets with less price fluctuations, this would also leave more room for improvements because of advancements in general technology. Its hard for me to believe these people are even rational.

The people in charge of AI are just full sending without a second thought, not even considering the fact that the strain being put on resources because of the lack of sustainable business practices being incorporated.

Another layer is that the media entities who went at length to cover it were also completely aware of what they were doing. They understood that they were acting as a beacon. I try to explain to people all the time that our psychologies are completely mapped out.
