Breaking: The Trevor Project received a stop-work order last night on its contract with the national 988 suicide prevention hotline. The Trump administration is eliminating the option for LGBTQ callers to the hotline to press 3 and connect with someone who specializes in LGBTQ mental health.

The NYT's anti-trans fear mongering was cited in a Supreme Court briefing that stripped away the rights of trans kids. They need to be fully blacklisted by queer people and their allies. Don't work for them. Don't use them for book press. Don't speak with them for stories. They made their bed.

Reading the Supreme Court decision, I think back to what I wrote with sociologist Blu Buchanan. Attacks on gender-affirming care are fundamentally rooted in white supremacy. Attacks on trans people are part of a broad-ranging agenda of reconfiguring society to better serve white supremacy.

Neither transphobic bigots nor ignorant Supreme Court justices should be able to interfere in the medical access and decision-making of transgender youth and their supportive families.
