It’s marginally true… they changed the memo to cover their butts in court. The damage is done, the probationary employees are still gone but now they are trying to blame the agencies and not OPM.

There are actually a ton of different emails that these messages are set to respond. All formatted HR#@opm.gov. There doesn’t appear to be a pattern as I have received multiple copies of the same email that have different response numbers. In my very small sample size it’s from 1-12.

Yes… typically. There has been nothing typical about anything in the last 17 days. There is also the Merit Promotion Board that provides some protection but that will soon be staffed by new people as well…

… if they are not fully successful they are put on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and if they don’t improve they are let go… again it’s as if they don’t understand all the rules gov employees already exist under.
