One of the things we discovered the day of the flat tire is that the glove box really needed to be cleaned out and organized. So today I did this. And it tickled my brain in just the best way.

They have not seen the fire, the unshaken joy in the harness. The way she lived— not by force, but by instinct. By need. She did not run for us. She ran because stopping, though always a choice, was rarely one she ever made. And when the trail called her name for the last time, we felt the weight of a thousand miles press into our chests.
