That would make sense, or them blocking only things that are only damaging to Republicans.

Washington warned us of "cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men" that would "subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion."

They're here, now, in every branch of the gov't.

I'm sure everyone has already come to learn that a lot of our government relied on an honor system & a sense of decency, or at least some sense of one.

Congressional republicans have none of that. They've used their power to abuse us. A power granted by us through 'consent of the governed'.

Unfortunately, it's not. It's the bastardization of house rules & the constitution to deprive all of us representation. Don't think for a second that republicans don't understand this.

We fought a war over being denied representation & being abused by a tyrant. How is this any different?

Pro Forma sessions are simply daily ones held to prevent the 3 day rule from triggering. It's also commonly used to describe sessions where little to nothing is done.

So, we have a rule meant to prevent a chamber from holding things up & 'sessions' where nothing is done.

Sounds like a bad joke.

What does this mean? Well, it means that the house can only be adjourned so long as the senate allows it. That means that Johnson isn't able to shut down the House of Reps indefinitely.

Otherwise, a concurrent resolution is required to authorize a recess of the session.

Enter: Pro Forma sessions.
