I'm grateful I can do that at least. If I were a freelancing artist instead of full-time employed (graphic designer), I doubt I could afford such trips.

Uff I get it in sooome way. I use up my vacation days to travel 4h to a major art hub city to see my artist friends preferably on long weekends and a friend's couch. 😬 Always must book the train months prior for it to be +-50€ or less. Otherwise it's 80€-120€.

Sorry for spamming, but the letter limit sucks. It just drives me wild to see Ablassbriefe for AI companies promoted as a solution to this clusterfuck. I mean it could be! If licensing = every AI parasite out of business. If they can keep operating = they don't pay fair.

Frankly deepfake "AI" toys should stay a shunned illegal bullshit business. Art and entertainment isn't a problem we need bots for. It adds more pollution and social instability to our already fucked civilization. AI should be reserved for meaningful problems.

It's ALL about getting away without paying. It's like Europeans giving shit trap deals to Native Americans to forever own their acres while salting the little ground that is left for them.

Licensing ideas for AI are still just exploitation with a fancy label. All it can ever be is meager pennies and shit deals. It's all negotiation far below the regular pay and employment options. That is not worthy being called a compensation.

AI is all about not wanting to pay for what people offer. Paying everyone less than normal, for a limited moment and then putting them onto the street is not compensation. That is aggressive social green-washing.

That's more like what I had suspected. I just can't imagine illustrators / artists being drawn to that side of it. (Although I know a Bali loving AI bro 3D artist, so...) A place this large can't be all Dubai anyway plus people have lived there much before it became touristic/business attractions.

Not even for money I'd want to travel there tbh. Almost every country has done shit, but these destinations feel like the capitol of fake bitch behavior drawing in all the utmost nature-detached people who live to own 10 cars and look "successful". In my head it's all "business man town" . xD

Now realising part of my problem rn are all the ideas and ambitions I have feel impossible to achieve. So I am paralyzed until I can make up my mind which personal project I want to prioritize & commit to next. And also guilt weights into this, guilt about "wasting" the art time on horny fan art.

Sometimes down phases are even a good kick-start for a new better art phase. The brain takes a step back and the distance allows some new perceptions. But I will not put expectations on me now lel

I always have my claws busy in silly projects I love doing.
Now I've been needing a break where I just play games and question myself... As art addict who usually draws daily, I'm scared having this little drive to paint. Feels like falling apart, while in reality a few days are nothing really.
