We already all do gift things to others all the time, for little things. Why not for big things like housing and food?

Patriarchal empires are much like patriarchal families. Everyone has to buy into the lie that the head of the hierarchy is the “strongest”. But the moment everyone stops believing it, this narrative (and the power structure) crumbles.

I hate to break it to you but countries as a concept are patriarchal. We can never have a matriarchal country. Only a matriarchal self-organizing and self-sufficient community.

Under matriarchy, life is all about the local. Empires and large “democratic” countries are too large for a single person to have agency unless you’re near the top.
Humans operate best when we have agency over our lives, and we can only do that in local egalitarian communities. AKA matriarchies.

Only a society that devalues motherhood would force it on us. This experience should be chosen, a sacred honor only undertaken when ready and with abundance and support. Patriarchy can never provide this.

Patriarchy always collapses in on itself. Empires fall, people revolt, children are traumatized. We need to build matriarchal communities again if we want to break this vicious cycle.
