Really happy to see the NYT give Jamelle Bouie room to write about pedestrian deaths on NYC streets twice in one week.
"The most dangerous things on our streets are cars and trucks, multi-ton chunks of metal, glass and plastic designed to move at high speeds through urban and suburban environments that are, more often then not, designed for the flow of vehicles rather than the movement of people."

At my kid’s school, and the meeting I’m in got interrupted by daily announcements, which included the Pledge of Allegiance, the “under god” version. I had no idea they still did that.
