Oh, the Cracker Barrel controversy:

1. It’s not a good design, but neither was the original.

2. It’s unnecessary. Promoting “change” to a target audience that hates it is pointless.

3. The backlash from conservative politicians is wild. Don’t debate logos. Help your constituents’ quality of life.

These companies want to be “non-banks” that can accept deposits of your money and then not have any legal obligations to protect it—which lets them use it to speculate on crypto etc—and not have FDIC insurance. They need to kill the cfpb to do that.
