suchhhh a great author, i've read so many of her standalone works too now (her contemporary horror novels are really worth a read and i continue to be in awe of how well she writes across genres)

unfortunately no, i've requested copies through my library for now. but i have a feeling i'll get impatient and treat myself to a bookstore trip soon :)

oh yes, their friendship was lovely! and i was so intrigued by Brindle and the gnole culture, such an amazing addition to that universe. I think that's why i loved galen/piper's book so much, because of Earstripe

also i have never read about a religious order quite like the White Rat and i'm pretty sure I would also pledge service to them and bishop beartongue. I need more ppl to talk about this series with 😍

The paladins at the heart of the series are all spectacular in their own ways, struggling to cope after the death of their god. Each book also has a beautifully matched love interest (and dual POVs!) and well-crafted side characters.
