Yes! Exactly! And considering that a few of the "middle" books are things that are actually happening "at the same time", it can get quite overwhelming to be reading about 1,300 pages of the exact same timeframe, but just from 4-5 different POVs.

By the time I got to Sanderson's books, I extremely appreciated the change of pace. Jordan's writings are full of infinite details while Sanderson's is quite focused. I really enjoyed how the pace picked up drastically and things just happened over and over.
