Thread: my favorite dogs from volunteering at the shelter. Fair warning, I like the old scruffy and crusty ones.

Starting off strong with Nancy

Did a DS1 Bow Only run after watching Backlog's recent video. Interesting and a pretty achievable challenge for the layman. Did a tierlist of whether bosses got harder or easier (relative to their original challenge). The worst thing is lack of weapon variety - you stick with the same bow all run.

I feel like I could write a Video Essay™ about this game, but suffice to say it's fun. You can definitely tell at the edges it was a little rushed but it's still an amazingly fun game. I love Arkham style action games and this feels like the pinnacle of it. Disappointed there was never any DLC tho

I love star wars because there will be an integral piece of media to the canon where one of the main characters is named I'm Gonna Die

Going niche here - The Sacred Cards (GBA). Weird old, "not quite yugioh" game. Hourglass of Life has a great power up effect, insanely low deck cost, is cheap to buy from the store, and light attribute beats over most boss decks (TSC has a rock-paper-scissors Attribute system).

Lunacid was my favorite game I played last year & I was baffled when this got stealth dropped. A prequel made in an official King's Field rpg maker tool as an exercise by the dev, it's very rough around the edges just by nature of the janky engine. I enjoyed playing through it but not for everyone.

MK11 + Aftermath - Played through most of MK11 last year and came back to finish up and play the Aftermath DLC. I am NOT a FGC guy, I am total ass, but I love to play these games casually & for the story mode. They actually rock, and I enjoyed MK11 mucho. Excited to play MK1.

Outlaw Star (2001) - Sci-fi Action Comedy, it's basically Cowboy Bebop with a different aesthetic and 70% as good. Which is to say, still pretty good, but not a Generational Watch. The main story is paced poorly between episodic stuff, the themes are pretty shallow and resolve shallow as well.

Andor S2

This is the single greatest piece of media Star Wars has ever produced. Go watch it.

Thunderbolts - Great return to form for Marvel, solid B+ movie. Had a direction and a message and stuck to it with good characterization, even in an ensemble. Lewis Pullman was a standout.
