2 weeks post op and Bug is doing amazing. Sleep is still a challenge but if that's the only post op issue, I'll take it!

Out of PICU and now in an acute care floor room. She is recovering well!

Out of PICU and now in an acute care floor room. She is recovering well!
She is out of surgery. We got to speak to the plastic surgeon and he gave us some of the surgical details.
Long story short: she did great and we're waiting for her to be brought to recover in the PICU so we can see her.
Doctor prescribed lots of cuddles. Can do!

Surgery update. They're starting to close the incision. She's doing very well!

Surgery update: Neurosurgeon just called to report in that they've removed the bone matter that they needed to. Bug hasn't needed any transfusions as of now. Everything is going good. Surgery is being transferred to plastic surgeon for installation of sugar plate.

Surgery update: Procedure is going as planned and Bug is doing well.

First surgery update: Procedure has started. Bug is doing well --they had to take time to start an IV, insert nasal breathing tube, etc after anethetizing her. So now they're into the real surgery part

It's surgery day! We are at the hospital and waiting in pre-op. It's an 8 hour surgery and we will get updates every hour or hour and a half.
