I started reading The Things We Leave Unfinished last night, now around 10 chapters in and really loving the dual storyline — I’m hooked!

I think I would have been more impacted by hearing it read too — sometimes actually reading it numbs the emotion for me unfortunately. Plus I am a very fast reader, so probably didn’t let it sink in as much as I should have let it. It was a great read, so harrowing reading those passages of horror

Ooh good to know! It’s totally not my usual genre so the graphic-ness is already a bit confronting, even only 4 chapters in. It’s always nice when emotion is earned, I’m genuinely curious to see how the relationship develops
