Nidorf is under evacuation warning. While that is an elevated risk, it is not yet an order to evacuate. Precautions are being taken to protect the youth and staff, and the Department has deployed additional staff to assist with any emergency or possible evacuations. We are prepared and have plans in place should an evacuation order be issued. Camp Kilpatrick still has no evacuation orders. The Sylmar Courthouse will also be closed tomorrow. All cases scheduled for Sylmar will be heard at the East Los Angeles Courthouse. The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) also canceled classes at both facilities for tomorrow, 1/9/25.
