It’d be a dream come true for me to meet him. @realgdt.bsky.social is one of my heroes, as a person, filmmaker, and cinephile. He just seems like he lives and loves for the art of film, and he puts so much love and passion into every film he makes. Hope that dream comes true one day!

I’m considering booking you at some point (possibly something Gangle-related). I wonder, how good are you with fun Mad Libs stories?

Okay, just the idea of Ana Lily Amirpour and Natasha Lyonne collaborating is awesome by itself, but this sounds incredible! Hope it turns out well!

What if you’ve lost your creative drive after something you’ve never been able to forgive yourself for? Specifically a falling out with someone you wish you could apologize to and make peace with, but feel like you never can? How to break in after that? I am seeing a therapist and all, but still.

It’s like he’s such a boring artist with little going on with him and his music, yet he also has such a devoted following that’s baffling to see. Also considering it was his festival that caused one of the worst casualty events in music history, it makes the backing for him even more baffling.

And I called it! Sorry Baby just got picked up by A24!
February 2, 2025 at 10:02 PM
UPDATE: I called it! A24 got it!

I mean, can’t OTHER governors follow in his footsteps? Because I think that’s an interesting turn of events for those people! Yea, The Donald pardoned you, but you can’t get work anywhere in the country for participating in 1/6! Seems fitting, really.

Not to mention, the scenes from TWINLESS that were posted were not only spoiler-y, but they were racy scenes involving at least one of the leads. So these people literally got these digital screeners to post intimate scenes from a certain actor. Because screw watching for the story, RIGHT? *sigh*
February 2, 2025 at 2:31 AM
They filmed scenes from the film through the virtual screeners (which are digitally watermarked, so they will be traced to whoever got them) and posted them online. AND, not only are they racy scenes, they’re also spoiler-y. Sooooo… yea…
February 2, 2025 at 2:26 AM
I saw it last night, and I absolutely agree. I wouldn’t mind seeing someone like A24 (who Barry Jenkins has done a good bit of stuff with in the past) or NEON get it. All the best to whoever does though!
February 2, 2025 at 2:22 AM
Isn’t the whole “raiding the Treasury” stunt he pulled technically an act of treason?
February 2, 2025 at 2:21 AM
Did A24 pick it up? I haven’t seen any articles about that.
February 1, 2025 at 9:21 PM
Yea, it was one I had, but was saving for later in my program. Really regretting that decision. I watched the OTHER movie I was highly anticipating last night, and that turned out to be awesome. Just a shame I had to lose TWINLESS over this mess.
February 1, 2025 at 9:20 PM
I sure as f*ck hope not! I genuinely enjoy seeing these films and supporting the artists! In fact, after this news broke out, I rushed to watch my intended final film last night in hopes that wouldn’t get pulled too! I hope Sundance is able to work something out here.
February 1, 2025 at 2:45 PM
The public screenings are watermarked too, or at least they’re supposed to be. They actually have an anti-piracy bumper in front of these movies to prevent this kind of thing from happening. And now because of it, a movie I was saving for later in my program got yanked off the lineup!
February 1, 2025 at 2:27 PM
I will say, the movie I watched tonight (which I’m not going to say what in case some people get the idea to ruin that one too) was excellent and absolutely deserving of the hype it got. You’re right, it is a shame people had to ruin one of my other highly anticipated movies.
February 1, 2025 at 6:06 AM
They are watermarked, at least they’re supposed to be.
February 1, 2025 at 5:38 AM
Who knows. As a result, I put my most anticipated movie of my list (which I was saving for last) for tonight, since I worried that’d get pulled too!
In any case, I hope they make it up to us somehow, either finding another way to let us watch it or by issuing refunds.
February 1, 2025 at 5:33 AM
And I didn’t even make it to my screening before they pulled it. I hope they can work something out for those who didn’t watch their screenings.
February 1, 2025 at 5:24 AM
Like me! I’m hoping SOMETHING can work out with this, or at least give those of us who didn’t watch our screenings a refund. I was saving it for later in my program because I heard of how great it was. I was so worried I watched my intended last movie tonight in case THAT would get pulled too!
February 1, 2025 at 5:09 AM
Where on the app, if I may ask? I’m not seeing where virtual screenings are on the app on my phone.
February 1, 2025 at 5:03 AM
Well let’s just say, and I’ve said this time and again; I wouldn’t be surprised if that third impeachment filing is coming. And with as many people (even in Congress) that he’s alienated for the past week and a half (including some hardcore supporters in the past), he may not make it this time.
