This is a Great webcomic, I have re-read it multiple times!
I'm glad that by chance ran across an animation for the web comic on youtube 2 years, I even more glad that online comics where not blocked at my school at the time.

I just like taking things literally sometimes... but seriously black holes are fun to be around!

darkness is the lack of or absence of light
to bend to the darkness would mean to 'turn off the lights' or have a gravitational field that is so strong it bends light and even sucks it in.
therefore if I would bend to the darkness I would just hang out with a black hole :D

They only thing I can kind of trust with AI is Math
did you know before it has been commercialized in mass, AI were used to run simulations and help with the progression of science.
It's a fancy calculator with Abstract thinking and Problem Solving.

Oh on the theme of sea creatures I believe an sea angel would be interesting.
Kobolds are cool but than again I think all scaly creatures are cool like Lizard folk, Dragon borns, and well Dragons!
I also find Wendigo interesting but I also think that for many mythological horror creatures.
