If balanced encounters are your thing then that seems to be the hard part to me. PF2e mechanics were really good at that, IMO. That, and ensuring that player progression is balanced

Well, it seems to me it would really depend on the design goals of the ttrpg. Crunchy or fast and light? Combat as sport or war? Is combat central (tactical war games, pathfinder et al), or 'failure mode' OSR style, or what?

1. Make a DragonLance movie, one for each book.
2. Reconfigure DnD rules to encompass a range of play, for desired crunch level (from DM is god) to (a rule for every conceivable action, a la pf2e)
3. Explicitly make rules hackable on their DND online platforms via community plugin system.

Nice. I only got to DM two sessions of that, but it went well.. the players burned the roof off the guard house at the gates sending fire arrows down from the cliffs. Lol
