I didn't expect it, but connecting with my supportive & loving Ancestors gave me context. It helped me situate who I was in a greater scheme of things. It also gave me an opportunity to see what I wanted to pass on, and what I wanted to stop or change. 4/4

2. Good, complex, wise people exist everywhere & throughout all time & within all families. 3. It was those Ancestors who I would be connecting with. It was those Ancestors who would be willing & able to show up and offer support. And, bonus, the dead can change. 3/4

Intentions were to avoid harm, but I flattened entire lives & identities. I couldn't believe anyone beyond recent gens could be relatable, could have wisdom to share. I had to realize 3 things: 1. My assumptions were unfair & dehumanizing; problems existed, but mostly I was just afraid. 2/4
