Last night alone (Ricky is on a work trip), so I made myself some gnocchi pomodoro glop (probably could have reduced the sauce a bit longer and I had a little less gnocchi than the recipe called for).
A small casserole dish filled with tomato sauce with small signs of gnocchi somewhere in there. Originally there were melted mozzarella balls on top, but I realized I forgot to add the heavy cream so I stirred some in at the very end. Very much a “first time making this” experience but tasty at least.

four drawings of a purple and green worm or snake-like creature with amorphous properties. it sometimes has six limbs, but the first drawing shows many more pairs of incomplete limbs. its eyes are green and seem to change shades depending on its mood. there is a dark line behind its head and it has a strange mark on its neck from which emerges something like a wattle or tentacle that it can use to manipulate objects. it seems distressed in all the drawings.

For as much as I like bees I really don’t have a lot of bee swag. I should do continue to do something about that.

The Jellycats bee restocked and I ordered one immediately and my husband also ordered me one immediately without knowing. Bee one of two has arrived. Will need to come up with names.

Slowly making my office cozier. @rickyromero.com helped me repurpose our old kitchen pegboard in the room, and I put my string of twinkly lights along the floorboards. Also rotated my desk a while back.

I picked darkrai but that was not an easy choice (especially since I did this on paper with a crumbly multicolored pencil crayon, some backtracking on lines was required). #art #pokemon #darkrai

I've seen people share recipes on here before, and I don't have any top secret recipes, so here is my mac and cheese. I made my last batch with 2 cups cheddar, 1 cup smoked mozzarella and 1 cup smoked gouda, but you can probably use any cheese you like.
A mac and cheese recipe. It reads: Mac and cheese Ingredients: - 4 cups cheese (old cheddar as default) - 4 cups noodles (cavatappi is great) - 4 cups milk - 1/4 cups flour - 1/4 cups butter - 2 tsp (teaspoons) mustard powder - 2 Tbsp (tablespoons) worchestershire sauce - 1/2 tsp salt - 1/4 tsp pepper - 1 packet saltine crackers (4 oz?), crushed - 1/2 - 1 cup extra cheese + caramelized onions if you're feeling fancy. add to sauce. (new addition: I usually use two onions). Directions: - preheat oven to 350° f. - bring big pot of water to a boil. cook noodles. - while water is heating, in a medium pot, melt butter at med-low heat, adding flour and stirring frequently. - add milk gradually, turning temp up to medium high. it should slowly thicken. - add mustard powder, worchestershire sauce, salt and pepper, stirring frequently. - add cheese, one cup at a time. once thickened, turn off heat. - spray baking dish if not non-stick, pour cooked and drained pasta into baking dish, then cheese sauce. mix together, - pour crushed crackers and extra cheese on top. - place in oven and bake for 20 minutes. I didn't have space but another optional step is to then place under broiler for a few minutes or until crackers and cheese have browned up a bit.

Was craving home made mac and cheese bad yesterday. Today I solved the problem.
A casserole of homemade mac and cheese. Made with a mix of two types of noodles because I was partly through a bag. Contains caramelized onions, old cheddar, smoked gouda and smoked mozzarella. Topped with smashed saltine crackers and some more cheese which was browned under the broiler at the end.
