Yeah, 1979's 1e AD&D (which is sort of 2e compared to 74's OD&D) had Violet cause Banishment and Indigo cause Insanity. This carried on to 89's 2e AD&D and the 3.x suite of games as well. 4e didn't use the different colors, and 5e has it Blind.
