I don't know if it'd be more merit based in absolute terms, but it would certainly be less "need to know"-network based, and for fairness at least I think that'd be desirable.
I also acknowledge that network-based growth of groups has benefits (makes personal interactions more organic).

I see. So you first need a network to tell you this and then someone to write a letter. Not saying the work of iza isnt great, just thinking there has to be a better way to run these things than these networks.

I'm wondering: If part of Berlin had to repeat the last election because too many people weren't able to cast their votes (due to admin chaos), what's going to happen if many of the postal votes are not going to arrive on time.
