Been so busy, I forgot to share that I figured out a good way to make a stitched book with board covers that looks stab-bound, but isn’t. 🥹
Two copies of my Roleplaying game Sageuk Roleplay in Joseon. One is open to show the title page while the second is showing off the cover, which is covered with light brown fabric with red stitching on the cover book board resembling stab-binding.

Haha, I wish I could share my TTRPG library more widely, but you might be a bit too far for that to be easy. 😢

I read through most of the books I am taking once or twice for review and test plays and they are too mature for my kids still. Also, I need to make space for my hand-bound books.

I'm bringing a bunch of near-mint #TTRPGs that I got for reviews, in addition to physical copies of my games not carried in stores.
The logo for the Designed in the DMV group. It is made from a map of Washington DC and the surrounding counties of its metro area. The portions made up by Washington DC are colored to look like a red 6-sided die with white pips, the portion in Maryland is filled in with gold, and the portion in Virginia is filled in with blue. The name is group appears above and below the logo map in a large black serif typeface.

Okay, think I have finally gotten a handle on the massive endeavor we are attempting to do at my IRL work. (More news on that later maybe)

Now it is time to get back to #TTRPG stuff for the channel, but we restart the classic struggle of what to do first. Ah, to be spoiled with choice.

Wanted to let you know @naldodrinan.bsky.social, BREAK!! is so popular in this house, I had to make an extra handbound copy of the book to keep the peace between my kids. 🤣

Well, it did not come together as I intended and explained in this video, but I think it came out pretty decently for a first try!

Just need to close up the endpaper to make the inside cover look neater and maybe add a nameplate to the cover.

Found a typo in the text, so this one is for me. 😅

The covers will mean that they are not “little black books” anymore, but the material is absolutely gorgeous.

This set is still in process (two are untrimmed and bookcloth for covers are still drying), but I still wanted to show off my WIP of the Traveler5 core books. This is an edition that branches the evolution of Traveler separate from Mongoose Traveler 1 and 2.

Each book has two supporting tapes sewn to the text block in a different fashion. The top book has green thread and has long stitches that are knotted together to add extra tension across the support tapes. The middle book uses grey-black ombré thread in my typical French link stitching across the tapes. The bottom book uses red ombré thread with the stitches across the tapes linked in groups of 3. Instead of the continuous chain of French link. Six sheets of bookcloth drying on my boards leaned up against the wall

Sorry I had to remove the lovely purple background that frames each page of the PDF, but I tried to make up for it with the funky cover and colorful binding.

The new Personnel File (i.e. character sheet), designed to mimic a formal government form. This one is prefilled with an example character named Jona Byron. The first page of the "An Arch for All Nations" scenario, newly added to this version of the game. on this page is a quote from Teddy Roosevelt, on conservation, a description of this fictional park, and an photograph of a natural stone arch towering over a small person looking up at it.

Bookbinding, but not a TTRPG? 🤯

Yes, this one is for work (a report created by the U.S. Government Accountability Office), so I could read it on the train.

Decided to use sewn-on card stock covers. I am loving how that part turned out.

This one got bound a while ago and just sat on my bench for a while. Finally got covers on it earlier this week.

It is the CC version of the Forthright Open Roleplay #TTRPG system from Room 209 Gaming.

Been experimenting with 2 fabric tapes for my #bookbinding, but decided to experiment with how much more stable 3 tapes would be instead.

The Fragged Empire 2E Rules Manual by Wade Dyer (AKA Design Ministries)

Time to get back in the swing of #bookbinding #TTRPGs.

Here is the second edition of Eclipse Phase by @posthumanstudios.com, all 400+pages.

Turned out decent! It is a little smaller than I intended because I had to double-trim the text block, but I learned something new that should help that.

A movie that takes place where you're from.

It officially takes place in small-town Ohio on the other side of the state, but it was filmed in the northern West Virginia Panhandle, just across the river from my childhood home.
