It was a good experience with some fun players and I felt like I've been playing all along. The GM was great and guided all of us (who were all new to the game itself) through every single step.

I suppose this is a ‘survival instinct’. The random flight pattern that some flying insects seem to have that makes them impossible to catch.
Along the same lines - the way spiders just seem to freaking disappear when you are hunting one.
