I'm already reading your blog. I think it's cool that there's gringo interest in Mexican affairs. Some of the data you use caught my attention, like the comparison to the PRI's 70-year rule, but you treat it superficially (it's 70 years!! of nuanced history)...

Dark money, like in the Taylor Lorenz article, we call it 'chayote' in Mexican slang.
