If you love the pulp style art of Mars Attacks, the 1949 America Salutes the FBI set from Bowman should be one for your collection. #CardSky

There are so many sets from Primrose that I'd love to get my hands on but none more than this Yellow Submarine set. Just a gorgeous set. Sadly, you never see these at American shows and even eBay can be tough. #TheBeatles #CardSky

Eager to capitalize on the popularity of the Beatles sets released in 1964, Topps devoted an entire set to the equally popular, Freddie and the Dreamers. Wait. Really? Before The Kinks they went with these guys? Ok. They had a single US number 1 and only four songs to crack the top 40 in the states.

#Topps released several #Beatles trading card sets in 1964 but the most rare set of them all is this Plaks set which was designed to be destroyed. Do you have a set? Also, do you have a wrapper?! #CardSky

1948 Leaf Pirates trading cards are a pretty cool set visually. #CardSky

Arguably the ugliest comic book set of all time and I've got every one of them. In an era of peak comic book trading cards, particularly from SkyBox, 1993 Bloodlines were a catastrophe all unto themselves. #CardSky #DCComics

1984 Topps Masters of the Universe cards, for some reason, are among the most expensive non-sports, junk-wax era cards to find nowadays. I have the wrappers but I've never been able to pull the trigger on a full set of cards. #CardSky #MOTU #HeMan @skylight.social

1979 Donruss Rock Stars really put the terms "rock" and "stars" to the test but there are some cool Queen cards in this set. #CardSky #Collect

1973 Polydor Guitar Album trading cards include some of the first cards from some of rock's biggest names. It's a small set but worth tracking down if you're a collector and music fan. #CardSky #Collect

1940 Gum Inc #Superman trading cards. I have a reprint set and these cards are gorgeous. Wish I had some originals for my collection.

This set from Players' cigarettes was released in 1935 and depicts the kings and queens of England to that point. I wanted one specific card from this set for the most obscure collection I have but I liked the look (and old tobacco cards) so much that I picked up a complete set. #CardSky

Old Skybox comic cards are still the best. These oversized #Superman cards from 1994 are among my favorite sets of all time and the lenticular variants for a handful of cards look great (but don't scan particularly well). #CardSky

In 1966, #Topps released several sets devoted to #Batman. The Black Bat, Blue Bat, and Red Bat cards (nicknamed for the color of the title bat on each card) are the most popular and were designed by Norman Saunders who is probably most famous for Mars Attacks. #CardSky herohabit.com/1966-topps-b...

These cards were distributed in Wills's Cigarettes as a means to educate the populace on proper protocols during an air raid. The set began release in 1936 as it became increasingly clear that things were heading in a horrible direction in Europe. #CardSky

My quest for all the 1966 Batman cards is slow going but I've got this beauty which has to be one of the more famous ones from the series.

Share your favorite non-sports cards! This Skybox Batman from 1994 has been a favorite of mine since 1994. The set in general remains among the best comic book sets of all time.
