I thought your commentary was spot on. It perfectly articulated everything that bothered me about this film, and there was a lot. It’s a mess of a film. The tone is all wrong and as you note, the sadism and cheap jokes leave you with a sour taste. Too bad. I wanted to like it.

Prop 13 has been in epic disaster in California. The sad thing is how hard it is to go against the prevailing narrative that lowering taxes is always the answer. The evidence shows again and again that it is not. And here we go again. This time the looming debt crisis might bring some sanity.

I would like everyone to be verified, or at least to make verification easy so people who want to be verified can. Then a preference to only see activity from other verified accounts. (I would pay for this capability alone.) With this in place, the bots can spew their toxicity into the void.

The Bose might sound great, but they kept failing to connect via Bluetooth. You had one job!!! The Apple pro earbuds connect flawlessly every time and sound very good, specially for movies in flights. I gave up the fight against the Apple ecosystem. Everything just works.
