but the doggo is bent on getting attention

We are more than this,
and we can do better than this.

We talk of dreamers
as if they’re fools
not rooted in reality.

What if we’re in this mess
because we stopped dreaming
dreams worth dreaming.

What if we allowed ourselves to be idealists again,
dreamers of new and better realities for everyone

I don’t know about you,
but I choose to be in the arena,
a citizen in a republic
who spends herself in a worthy cause.

I’d rather come short again and again, than not to have tried.

And if, in the end, I fail,
I will fail while daring greatly.
