Yes ma’am I voted for trump. But blindly following political sides is wrong.

1) 13 million. We lost 27%. See here: www.bluegreenalliance.org/resources/th....

2) not sure of your point. Wouldn’t selling both products for 1.25 be the same? (Gives Americans the opportunity to promote American made products/jobs for no extra charge)

That’s a fair point. Not sure what companies will do in the long run, but I think the tariffs promoting local businesses is still better in the short term. We have to stop bleeding money somehow.
December 9, 2024 at 2:41 AM
Yes! Move locations to the USA and promote American businesses. This would help stimulate American job quantity, that is the goal right?
December 9, 2024 at 2:38 AM
Not sure where the economics degrees are. But tariffs would promote American made products, are you against that? I’m not sure how much this will raise costs.
December 9, 2024 at 2:37 AM
You’re so blinded by politics you are willing to lose money? You are truly lost and I feel bad for you.
December 9, 2024 at 2:36 AM
As previously mentioned, my point applies to general imports. Maybe coffee wasn’t the best example given our limited ability, but my point is still applicable.

What does covfefescu mean?
December 9, 2024 at 2:33 AM
Yes prices will increase, but in the long run isn’t skilled manufacturing jobs in the USA worth it?
December 9, 2024 at 2:32 AM
Exactly! We have tariffs for imported products and have USAmanufacturers make the electronics. It will be more expensive but our less fortunate will have more job opportunities and learn the skills required in the long run!
December 9, 2024 at 2:30 AM
Probably not set up the infrastructure required, but wouldn’t tariffs help promote these industries? The goal is manufacturing jobs in the USA so how would increasing import costs hurt USA jobs?
December 9, 2024 at 2:28 AM
Well really my point applies to all imports. That was my intention. But wouldn’t added/competing companies lower the price? I assume the CAFTA-DR will not be subject to tariffs, so can’t we produce in our southern territories?
December 9, 2024 at 2:27 AM
Agreed. But tariffs would help encourage manufacturing in the USA, would it not?
December 9, 2024 at 2:24 AM
Well we are #38 in coffee production. But really, my point applies to all imports.

Would you rather support foreign made/manufactured coffee for $1 cheaper?
December 9, 2024 at 2:15 AM
So you’d rather promote foreign manufacturers than help our own manufacturing industries? Since when is only having imports the best thing for a country
December 9, 2024 at 2:14 AM
Will you stfu about the media… CNN, Fox News, MSNBC are all bias. If you think for a minute they have your best interest in mind, you’re insane
December 9, 2024 at 2:12 AM
Disagree. I have a mechanical engineering degree and voted for Trump. I work full time, and I think tariffs are a great idea for American companies to manufacture in the USA. Over 5 million manufacturing jobs were lost overseas… www.forbes.com/sites/jackke...

I’d rather spend more on American made coffee than Colombian coffee… more jobs in the USA!
December 9, 2024 at 2:08 AM
You’re right, it’s called a proxy war. How many US projects could $175 billion fund? Why are you even defending spending money on a foreign country…
December 9, 2024 at 2:07 AM
The bipartisan bill that was passed? Yes I do.

Why do we need to support further proxy wars? We have sent $175 billion… how many US projects could that have supported?

Why are you on Bluesky? You get 1 like and 1 retweet, but 113 likes on Twitter/X… What kind of sense does this make.
