I kind of regret giving up the offer I got in Beijing last time. Even though the leadership there was manipulative and toxic, and the rent was expensive, at least the salary was decent and it was geographically closer to Japan.

I want to work in game designer, but the reality is… overtime is the norm — some teams even work past midnight, and of course, there’s no such thing as overtime pay.
The only thing keeping me going is the idea of gaining enough experience to apply for grad school and leave the country.
